LA PATOLOGÍA FORENSE AL SERVICIO DE LA SOCIEDAD

Abstract

The title of this article should catch the reader's attention, since in an ideal society Forensic Pathology would be a discipline that should not exist. But what does a Forensic Doctor do telling you that their job shouldn't exist? It is not because it is an inexact science, much less subjected to influences of some kind; but because no one wants a tragedy to occur in their family, whether of natural origin or sudden death -the unexpected death of a person who was believed to be healthy- and not to mention of violent origin -such as hundreds of motorcycle accidents that every day the newspapers and newscasts inform us; or worse still, the large number of homicides that have made our country consider itself more dangerous than the nations with which it shares borders.
